I've worked as a multimedia journalist (that's pictures, video and words) at newspapers in Florida and upstate New York, I've got a master's degree in photography from Syracuse University, I've taught multimedia journalism at Stony Brook University for almost 6 years, and was a technical specialist at Canon USA.

I've used (and at one point or another, owned) everything from point-and-shoot cameras to full-frame DSLR and mirrorless cameras from Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, Olympus, Sony and Fujifilm. I know my way around them all pretty well as that was what I was paid to do (and enjoyed).

That said, if I'm ever dispensing advice about medium format photography, film photography, or life, I'm probably wrong and/or lying. But you can believe all the other things I say about digital photography.
